In with the New Season

Posted 07.03.19  - Style

Cool, crisp and clean as a whistle, Turnbull & Asser’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection is a breath of fresh air.

We don’t know about you, but the arrival of spring is one of those moments in the year when we breathe a collective sigh of relief at Turnbull & Asser.

The grey days of winter spent huddling on the station platform in long coats are a thing of the past, and as we move into the warmer months, our wardrobes have the chance to lighten up, with soft colours, breezy fabrics and chic summer staples.

This season, we’ve kept our ready-to wear collection pure and simple. The design team has revisited Turnbull’s summer signatures, breathing new life into timeless classics. Whether our lightweight Italian linen shirts, our confident seasonal stripes or our new Cashmerello Light button-downs, beautifully made shirts in luxurious fabrics sit at the heart of the Spring/Summer collection.

When the mercury rises, there’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable in your clothes, so we’ve tweaked the fit of our shirts and tailoring. Elegant lines, form-fitting silhouettes and restrained design details run throughout, working together in harmony. Whether for work, a wedding, quiet afternoons at home or a relaxed weekend away on the Riviera, the collection is designed to meet the wardrobe needs of our customer, wherever and whatever they are.

Choosing the right fabrics, texture and colours for the warmer months has been vitally important, too. Alongside classic navy, we’ve introduced some sophisticated pastels, as well as shades of dusty pink and lavender. Nothing too brash, mind you. Less is always more when it comes to good clothes.

Really, there’s nothing complicated about Spring/Summer 2019. We’ve stayed true to what we do best: shirts and ties made in England in our own workrooms, understated tailoring and refined finishing touches in the finest fabrics available. We’re looking forward to summer this year and we hope you are too.
