Your Specification

A bespoke shirt is more than a perfect fit—it is an expression of individuality and a timeless treasure. With every detail considered, from fabric to finishing touches, you shape the design to your exact vision, creating an heirloom-quality garment unlike any other. Here, we record your preferences, ensuring each creation is a singular masterpiece.

Step 03

CUTTING THE PATTERN

CUTTING THE PATTERN

Your measurements are transformed into a paper pattern—your personal blueprint. Our on-site pattern cutters apply decades of expertise to translate your unique proportions into this precise template, capturing every nuance of your form with masterful skill. This is then expertly digitised in our Gloucester workshop, ensuring absolute precision in every cut and contour.

Step 04

CRAFTING YOUR SHIRT

CRAFTING YOUR SHIRT

With artisanal expertise, our experienced seamstresses masterfully cut your chosen cloth by hand, marking each special request with precision—be it a minutely shortened sleeve or other refined detail. They then employ hand-worked sewing machines to unite the elements of your shirt, creating seams of exceptional strength while ensuring impeccable accuracy in every stitch.

Three shirts stacked together, each with a distinct collar: a white dress shirt on top, a light blue striped shirt in the middle, and a dark-colored shirt on the bottom, all neatly layered against a plain background.

Step 05

THE FITTINGS

THE FITTINGS

True precision takes time and thoughtful refinement. For first-time commissions, we request a minimum order of four shirts, allowing us to create your sample masterpiece. Once crafted, we invite you to wear and launder this sample three times—a crucial process that allows the fabric to reveal its natural character and settle to its true form. Only then do our artisans make the final, meticulous adjustments to your pattern, ensuring each subsequent shirt achieves that rare harmony of comfort and elegance—a flawless fit that is exclusively, definitively yours.

BY ROYAL APPOINTMENT: CRAFTSMANSHIP OF DISTINCTION

This distinguished appointment affirms our dedication to British manufacturing excellence, sustainable practices, and the exacting standards worthy of serving the royal household.
