Construction Details

Shantung is a silk fabric distinguished by its slightly uneven surface featuring natural ridges called slubs. Although it has a subtly irregular texture, it remains one of the thinnest varieties of silk available. Its faintly ribbed finish creates a pleasing contrast with smoother silk materials. Like most silk fabrics, shantung has a crisp quality, and its lightweight nature allows it to drape gracefully.
