Manners Maketh Man.

…or in this case, the shirts do.

With the world finally safe from the threat of billionaire megalomaniac Richmond Valentine, calm was seemingly restored and collars around Savile Row could finally unbutton. That was up until the Kingsman store, frequented by Savile Row’s finest, was blown to smithereens by a bigger, badder threat.

It is now up to the new generation of Kingsman agents – spearheaded by Eggsy – to save the world once more, this time with the aid of Statesman: the cowboy-hat wearing agents across the pond. And if you’re going to save the world you may as well look the part, right?

Following the success of the first Kingsman release in 2015, we are excited to be collaborating with the film and Mr. Porter on the release of The Golden Circle collection, available exclusively on Mr. Porter. Alongside some of the finest names in British fashion, tailoring and heritage, we have provided the costume design team – championed by Arianne Phillips – with a range of bespoke Turnbull & Asser shirts.

Kingsman agents have long been purveyors of style, as well as protectors of humankind as we know it. Our bespoke shirts – made with 18 measurements – ensured movement, durability and comfort in times of extreme stress, pressure and the occasional shoot out. 102 shirts were made in total, including the ‘cowboy’ shirts for the Statesman agents. In addition to shirts for the lead characters, we created extra pieces for stunt doubles which had slightly looser fits for executing action scenes.

As one of the few remaining British brands that still manufactures in England, collaborations like this are very important.

“The actual process of creation for the new Kingsman movie was very familiar to us, having been involved in close collaboration with wardrobe departments of several blockbusters in past and recent years.” says Head of Design, Dean Gomilsek-Cole. “The Kingsman films have a very British flavour, and as one of the few remaining British brands that still manufactures in England, collaborations like this are very important.”
